I'm given to understand that the phrase "Merry Christmas" may be offensive to some people. If you are offended, I can only say sorry, but I think it's a little silly to be offended by someone who is wishing you well. In any case, Happy Holidays too.
I won't be blogging for the holidays (blessed relief, I know). I'll annoy you all again on the 29th.
'Till then, have a wonderful time! I know I will be!
Take care.

I share the same irritation about why anyone would be offended by Merry Christmas...
A Merry Christmas to you, too!
When in doubt of the recipient of my good wishes, I will wish them the politically correct, watered-down "Happy Holidays". But I do prefer saying "Merry Christmas".
I choose to try to be sensitive to others, as I am trying to simply wish them well, but I find the knee-jerk reaction some can have against that phrase ruins the thought and the true meaning intended by the traditional words.
Merry Christmas, to you and yours!
Then the issue belongs to the person. They're very silly indeed if they cannot accept good wishes from others in whatever form it takes!
