J.K. Rowling Speaks at Harvard Commencement from Harvard Magazine on Vimeo.
In other news, two more rejections came through. One last night and the other this morning. Both stated that my work wasn't for them. It must be for someone though, so I'll keep trying.
Still a bit sad over it, though. It's not a personal hurt, just sadness.
That is all. Have a very thoughtful Wednesday... got to get this marking done!

What a wonderful speech!! Thank you for finding it and posting it.
Stop beating yourself up about the rejections. In the span of things, it really hasn't been that long a time.
Hi KuietKelticGirl,
It is a beautiful speech, isn't it? I cried when I first heard it. I am a little on the emotional side, I guess.
The credit for finding it belongs to my dear friend Leonie Allen of Goddessguidebook.com (link is on the left hand side of the blog). I stole it from one of her posts.
I'm not beating myself up over the rejections, in that I don't take it personally, and I don't consider it a personal failure (except when I make bloody stupid typos - grr). I know that rejections are a normal part of trying to get published.
I know each rejection is not a personal comment aimed at the worth of what I've written. All the same, I feel sad when a rejection comes through.
That's a normal part of the process too.
